Hartford, Conn. - Senior captain midfielder Pat Devlin (Washington Crossing, Pa.) scored twice on assists by sophomore Ben Manougian (Peabody, Mass.) to lead the visiting Connecticut College Camels to a 3-2 victory over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's soccer action this afternoon.  Trinity, playing its home opener, falls to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the NESCAC with its second setback in a row, while Camels improve to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the league.

Connecticut College struck early when sophomore forward Chris Lockwood (Glastonbury, Conn.) got behind Trinity junior goalkeeper Mateo Zabala (Paterson, N.J.) 6:08 into the game and fired the ball into an empty net.  The Bantams tied it at 1-1 in the 17th minute, as senior Fernando Cuervo-Torello (Arlington, Mass.) fired on Camel senior goalie Mark Cameron (Bethesda, Md.) from the left flank and junior midfielder Scott Brazina (Concord, Mass.) poked in the rebound from the right off the carom.  Devlin scored on a header in the 23rd minute to give the visitors a 2-1 lead at the break.

Devlin scored his second goal when his first attempt after a Manougian feed hit the cross bar, but he converted on the rebound of his own shot.  Trinity senior captains Tobias Gimand (Copenhagen, Denmark) and Sam Milbury (Peabody, Mass.) connected on a corner kick to bring the Bantams to within one at 3-2. Gimand sent the corner perfectly in front of the goal and Milbury outmuscled several players on both teams to head the ball past Cameron with 6:03 left in the second half.  Trinity came up empty a set piece from 30 yards away at the five-minute mark and two corner kicks in the final 90 seconds.  The teams were fairly even statistically and both goalies had four saves.
