Men's Soccer Loses Defensive Battle at Hamilton

Box Score

Clinton, N.Y. - The Trinity College men's soccer team fell, 1-0, on the road at Hamilton on Saturday afternoon in a game that featured only six combined shots on goal between the two teams. The Bantams fall to 1-3 overall and 0-3 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) while the Continentals improve to 2-1 on the year with a perfect 2-0 record in conference action.

The two teams played a scoreless first half as Trinity goalie Domenic Quade (Norwood, Mass.) and Hamilton goalie Harris Pollack (Chappaqua, N.Y.) recorded a save each in the first 45 minutes. The Continentals broke the tie after 13 minutes of play in the second half thanks to a goal from Alec Talsania (Fogelsville, Pa.) via a long cross from Spenser Heller (Short Hills, N.J.) into the box. The Continental defense held stout for the remainder of the game as the Bantams managed just a pair of shots on goal for the remainder of the match.

Trinity returns to action on Monday, September 19, when they travel to Endicott for a non-conference matchup against the Gulls at 7:30 p.m.
