Trinity Women's Squash Sweeps Stanford In Howe Cup Opener

Princeton, N.J. - First-year Salma Alam El Din (Cairo, Egypt) posted a dominant 11-3, 11-3, 11-5, win in the No. 4 position, as the Trinity College Bantams coasted to a 9-0 victory over the Stanford University Cardinal in the opening round of the College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships (Howe Cup) this afternoon at Princeton University.  Trinity, seeded No. 3 in the tourney field, improves to 15-2 and will face No. 3-seeded Pennsylvania in the Howe Cup Semifinals tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.  The Bantams lost, 5-4, to the Penn Quakers on January 16 in Philadelphia.  The Bantams won by 3-0 scores at each of the top six spots in the lineup.
