Trinity Women's Squash Defeats Princeton To Take Third At Howe Cup

Princeton, N.J. - The Trinity College Bantams secured a top-three finish in the College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships (Howe Cup) for the sixth consecutive season with a 7-2 victory over the homestanding Princeton University Tigers this afternoon.  The Bantams won at each of the top seven spots in the lineup and won three matches by 3-0 scores to down the Tigers for the second time in eight days. 

Rookies Vanessa Raj (Telek Kumbar, Malaysia), Salma El Din Alam (Cairo, Egypt), and junior Julia LeCoq (Creteil, France) posted 3-0 sweeps for Trinity, and Bantam junior Raneem Sharaf (Giza, Egypt) won, 3-1, at the top of the ladder. Trinity senior co-captain Anna Kimberley (Colchester, England) ended her collegiate career in team competition with a 3-2 triumph at No. 2 and sophomore Jenny Haley (Newport, Wales) rounded out the Bantam victories with a 3-2 win in the No. 7 position.
