Trinity Women's Tennis Falls to No. 4 Middlebury on Senior Day

Hartford, Conn. – Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 match to the Middlebury College Panthers on Saturday afternoon in Hartford. The Bantams, who honored the members of their senior class before the match, fall to 4-8 overall and 1-6 in conference play while No. 4 Middlebury improves to 11-2 on the year and 4-1 in league play.

Senior tri-captain Vanja Babunski (Belgrade, Serbia) battled in the No. 1 singles spot but ultimately fell. Today's match was the final one at home for Babunski and classmates Ania Aliev (Needham, Mass.), Emily Curtis (Milton, Mass.) and Sydney Schonefeld (Tiburon, Calif.).

Trinity returns to action tomorrow for a 10 a.m. match at Connecticut College.
