New London, Conn. - Senior tri-captain midfielder Nicole Quinlan (Duxbury, Mass.)  and junior forward Kendall Brown (Greenwich, Conn.) scored goals to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 2-1 victory over the Connecticut College Camels in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) field hockey action this afternoon on Silfen Field.  Trinity, ranked No. 20 in the nation, improves to 5-3 overall and 1-3 in the NESCAC, while the Camels drop to 2-7 overall and 0-6 in the league with their third setback in a row.  Trinity visits No. 5-ranked Tufts on Saturday at ? in its next game.  Connecticut College plays No. 8-ranked Bowdoin the same day at noon.

Quinlan scored the game's first goal with 51 seconds left in the opening quarter, converting on an assist by sophomore midfielder Caelin Flaherty (Upton, Mass.).  With 2:12 left in the seocnd stanza, Brown gave the Bantams a 2-0 lead.  Sophie Pollinger fed Caroline Ferro for the Camels' goal midway through the third quarter on the lone Connecticut College shot-on-goal of the contest against Trinity defenders Caroline Munn (Garden City, N.Y.), Ellie Tate (Carlisle, Pa.), Elizabeth Provost (Sudbury, Mass.), and Elle Fair (Westport, Conn.).  Andi McGraw made seven saves for the Camels, while rookie Emma Cropper (Wilton, Conn.) improved to 4-2 despite a total of zero saves.
