Hartford, Conn. - First-year Charles Killborn (Winnetka, Ill.) earned a hard-fought win at sixth singles, but the Trinity College Bantams fell, 8-1, against the visiting Wesleyan University Cardinals in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's tennis action this afternoon at Assaiante Center. Trinity drops to 2-11 overall and 1-8 in the NESCAC, while the No. 4-ranked Cardinals improve to 12-3. Trinity closes its season on Saturday against Ithaca at 2 p.m. Wesleyan entertains NESCAC rival Colby on Saturday at 1 p.m. Wesleyan took a 3-0 lead after doubles play and won five of six singles matches in straight sets. Killborn blasted Wesleyan's Max Lee, 6-1, in the first set, but Lee edged Killborn, 7-5, in the second set. Killborn took the tiebreaker, 10-5, to salvage a point for the Bantams.
