Hartford, Conn. — The Trinity College women's squash program took its first loss of the season Wednesday evening, losing narrowly to Yale 5-4. The Bantams (9-1) fell behind early, and despite a handful of dominant victories, ultimately fell to #4 Yale (8-1).
Sophomore Sarahi Lopez (Zapopan, Mexico) and senior Vanessa Raj (Penang, Malaysia) won 3-1, while sophomore Nadiia Usenko (Kiev, Ukraine) and senior Lakeesha Rarere (Hastings, New Zealand) won their contests 3-0; both of their wins came in under 25 minutes.
Despite the loss, the Bantams will look to regroup this Friday, playing host to Cornell. Match time is slated for 5 p.m.
