AMHERST, Mass. – The Trinity College volleyball team was defeated in three sets at Amherst College Saturday afternoon, 25-14, 25-15, 25-15. The Bantams now hold a 7-8 record, 0-4 in conference matches while Amherst boasts a 7-1 overall and 3-1 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) record. Trinity has the week off before it gets set for its October 8 matchup at Bowdoin College beginning at 7 p.m.
Amherst was led by senior Jamie Daily who notched a match high 13 kills and 11 digs on the day. Sophomore Carly Cooper recorded an impressive 25 assists for the Mammoths. Amherst posted seven aces to Trinity's one and held the advantage in kills at 44-22 and digs, 49-29.
