WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College men's basketball team was defeated by the University of Saint Joseph, 79-59 on Sunday afternoon in West Hartford, Conn. The loss marks the first on the road for the Bantams this year and slides them to 4-2 overall while the Blue Jays remain unbeaten at 5-0. Trinity next hits the hardwood on Wednesday night when they host Springfield College at 7 p.m. in Oosting Gymnasium.
Trailing 29-28 in the first half, the Blue Jays took the lead when Ryan O'Neill knocked down a jumper and sparked a 12-point run that put Saint Joseph up 41-29 heading into the break. The Bantams would later cut the deficit to as little as three when
Tyler Mola drilled a 3-pointer with 14:32 remaining but Trinity never managed to take a lead. The Blue Jays had five scorers reach double-digits on the afternoon with O'Neill leading the pack with 17 points and shooting 64 percent from the field.

C.J. Redd led Trinity in scoring with 18 points while also chipping in six rebounds and a block, while sophomore
Gilbert Otoo led the Blue and Gold with 10 rebounds and four blocks of his own. First-year
Will Dorion registered 11 points, four assists and two steals while Otoo and senior Donald Jorden Jr. each tallied a pair of steals as well.
