Donald Jorden Jr. (Tampa, Fla.) scored a team-high 18 points to lead the Trinity College Bantams to an 87-56 win over the visiting City College of New York Beavers in men's basketball action this afternoon on Ogrodnik Court in Oosting Gymnasium. Trinity improves to 6-3 heading into the semester break, while the Beavers drop to 4-5. The victory is also the 400th for Trinity Head Coach
James Cosgrove. In 25 seasons at Endicott, Adelphi and Trinity, Cosgrove has compiled a 400-244 record (161-107 at Trinity) for a .621 winning percentage.
Trinity led, 47-31 at the half, puling away with a 29-10 run after the 14-minute mark. Jorden led the Bantams at the break with 10 points. Trinity continued to lead comfortable throughout the second half and held CCNY to a 34.4 percent clip from the field. The Bantams also outrebounded the Beavers, 49-40. Kualim Johnson (West Boylston, Mass.) led the way on the glass with seven rebounds and Dorion dished eight assists. Yassine Sakhi paced CCNY with a game-high 20 points, while Joey Leighton added 14 points, and Amir Assani pulled down nine rebounds.
