HARTFORD, Conn. - Sophomore center Samantha Gall (Northford, Conn.) was flawless, going 9-for-9 from the floor and 6-for-6 from the foul line for 24 points and added 10 rebounds to lead the Trinity College Bantams to an 87-59 win over the visiting Gordon College Fighting Scots in women's basketball action this afternoon on Ogrodnik Court in Oosting Gymnasium. Trinity closes the fall semester at 7-2, winning its last five contests. Gordon falls to.4-5.

Indianna DelRocco (Branford, Conn.) scored on a drive as time expired to make it, 15-14, at the first break. A layup by Gordon's Ami Rivera put the visitors ahead, 28-27, midway through the second stanza but Gallo answered with a bucket that gave Trinity the lead for good. Another Gallo basket gave the Bantams a 40-35 lead at halftime. Gallo led all scorers with 12 at intermission.
Trinity increased its advantage in the second half, going ahead by double digits at 47-37 on a Gallo free throw and extending to 67-45 after three quarters. Gallo had all of her 24 points in the first 30 minutes. The Bantams scored 20 more points in the fourth quarter to win going away. Rivera nearly matched Gallo, scoring 26 points for the Fighting Scots. Silva finished with 13 points, while DelRocco contributed eight points, eight assists, and a pair of blocks. Trinity shot 51.7 percent (31-60) from the floor, 57.1 percent from long range (12-21), 81.3 percent (13-16) from the foul line, and outrebounded Gordon, 37-24.
