Men’s Soccer Edged by Wesleyan University

Middletown, Conn. – The Trinity men's soccer team dropped its second conference game of the season Wednesday evening at Wesleyan University, 1-0. The Bantams are now 1-4 with a 0-2 record in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) while Wesleyan improves to 2-2-1 with a 1-2-1 mark in conference play. 
 
After 79 minutes of scoreless action on Wednesday evening, Cardinals' Matthew Rubinstein gave his team the advantage on an assist from freshman Zach Wheeler. Both squads put just two shots on goal during the contest. Wesleyan keeper Liam Devanny tallied two saves with Trinity's Bernardo Simoes recording one of his own. The sophomore has five saves through four games for the Blue and Gold this season. 
 
Trinity has two days off before traveling to Massachusetts for a 2:00 p.m. showdown at Williams College. The Cardinals will also continue NESCAC action with an 11:00 a.m. game time on Saturday to host Bowdoin.
