MEDFORD, Mass. - Junior Gabby Grattan (Milton, Mass.) scored the game's only goal on a header from classmate Cassie Lee (Newton, Mass.) to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 1-0 victory over the Tufts University Jumbos in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's soccer action this afternoon on Bello Field.  Trinity, ranked No. 22 in the nation, remains undefeated at 5-0-5 overall and 3-0-3 in the NESCAC, while the No. 6-ranked Jumbos drop to 6-2-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the conference.  Trinity hosts NESCAC foe Bowdoin next on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The scoreless first half saw Trinity junior goalkeeper Mariana Cournoyer (St. Paul, Minn.) save the only three shots on goal. She made one more stop early in the second half before Grattan made the clincher on Trinity's first shot on target of the game in the 57th minute. The Trinity defense held the Jumbos without a shot on goal the rest of the way, while rookie Elena Lindonen (Boxford, Mass.) made Tufts goalie Hayley Bernstein record her only save late in the game.
