Trinity Football Blanks Hamilton

HARTFORD, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantams had their way with the visiting Hamilton College Continentals, shutting them out, 45-0, in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) football action this afternoon on Jessee/Miller Field at Tansill Muldoon Stadium.  Trinity scored in every quarter, led, 24-0, at halftime, and totaled 506 yards while allowing just 140.  The Bantams improve to 4-0 and keep pace with Middlebury in first place in the NESCAC.  Hamilton drops to 1-3.  Trinity visits Middlebury next Saturday.  Bantam senior QB Spencer Fetter (Winter Park, Fla.) threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns.

Fetter finished 26-for-38 with no interceptions and threw two scoring strikes to TE Thomas Walsh (Pelham, N.Y.) who finished with five grabs for 109 yards.  Junior RBs Will Kirby (Darien, Conn.) and Colin McCabe (Madison, Conn.) combined for 127 rushing yards and four scores on the ground, and sophomore K Matt Jumes (Franklin, Mass.) added a 32-yard field goal.  Hamilton's Matt LoPresti made 12 tackles and Jared Schwartz had 11 hits.  Junior LB Luca de Lancellotti (Santa Ana, Calif.) paced the Bantam defense with five tackles.
