EAST BOSTON, Mass. - The visiting Trinity College Bantams dropped a 2-1 decision against the Suffolk University Rams in women's ice hockey action this afternoon at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink. Trinity senior forward
Ethel Wilhelmsson (Stockholm, Sweden) scored for the Bantams, who close the fall semester at 4-5. Suffolk improves to 9-3-1. Trinity is off until January 3 when they will host Plymouth State at 7 p.m.
Wilhelmsson tapped the puck in off a pass by sophomore teammate Martina Wxnerova (Nehalozeves, Czechia) 48 seconds into the second period. Cassidy Gruning tied the game for the Rams later in the second and Madison Duff pushed the Rams ahead on a power play. Trinity outshot Suffolk, 34-17, but Lily O'Neil had 33 Ram saves. Senior
Stephanie Garvis (Plymouth, Minn.) finished with 15 stops for Trinity. Trinity did not score on its two power plays and Suffolk was 1-for-3 with the extra skater.
