Malak Moustafa (Alexandria, Egypt), sophomore Madeleine Hyland (Baerum, Norway) and first-year
Janna El Ashmawy (Alexandria, Egypt) each posted 3-0 wins to lead the Trinity College women's squash team to a 6-3 victory over Yale University in Sunday's third-place match of the College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championship Tournament. The Bantams finish their 2021-22 season with a 15-2 record while Yale concludes its season with a 7-6 record. Both teams will compete in the CSA National Singles Championships beginning Friday, March 4 hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.
Following Moustafa's match one sweep, sophomore
Nouran Youssef (Smouha, Egypt) won 3-1 with a dominant 11-4 fourth set performance. Senior
Sahari Lopez (Zapopan, Mexico) fought through a five-setter in the No. 3 spot that lasted nearly an hour while junior
Lily Taylor-French (Fano, Italy) also went the distance to pull out the sixth and final match win for the Bantams on the day.
