AMHERST, Mass. - Senior tri-captain
Angelica Mushenko (East Longmeadow, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal with 2:26 left in the third period to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 3-2 victory over the Amherst College Mammoths in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's ice hockey action this evening at Orr Rink. Trinity snaps a seven-game losing , taking the first of two games between the Bantams and the Mammoths over two days. The Bantams are now 7-9-1 overall and 3-7 in the NESCAC, while the Mammoths fall to 9-8-1 overall and 6-6-1 in the league. The teams will face off again tomorrow at 7 p.m.

Bailey McKeon (Frisco, Texas) scored the first from classmate
Ellie Fellows (Westport, Mass.) with just 1:02 left in the first period, and sophomore forward
Jenny Guider (Ridgefield, Conn.) scored the second 5:16 into the middle frame from rookie
Katie Rice (Concord, Mass.). The Mammoths tied the game with consecutive goals in the third period, but Mushenko took the lead back with an unassisted tally during a Trinity power play. The Bantam defense held Amherst without a shot after the home squad had tied the game 12:38 into the final frame.
