MEDFORD, Mass. – The Trinity College baseball team defeated Tufts University, 7-5 in game one but fell 6-0 in game two to wrap up a three-game series in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play on Saturday. The Bantams are now 14-13 overall with a 6-3 mark in the conference while Tufts moves to 20-8 (5-6 NESCAC). Trinity hosts Wheaton College tomorrow at 1 p.m. while the Jumbos play Monday against Endicott College at 3:30 p.m.

Colin Mann went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and one run scored to lead the Bantams to a game one victory. Classmate James Stefanowitcz also had himself a solid early game with two hits and a pair of RBIs. Trinity scored three runs in the first inning and another three in the third while

Jake Mello secured the save. Game two was dominated by the Jumbos with four pitchers combining for the shutout and allowing just three hits to the Bantams. Ryan Noone, Kyle Cortese and Ozzie Fleischer each recorded two hits for Tufts while Silas Reed earned the win to improve to 3-0 and Matt Donato earned the save.
