HARTFORD, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantams improved to 7-0 for the first time since 2009 with a 3-1 win over the visiting Wesleyan University Cardinals in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) field hockey action this afternoon on Sheppard Field. Trinity, ranked No. 5 in the nation, also wins its 200th game with
Anne Parmenter as its head coach. Parmenter is 200-129 in 22 seasons at Trinity and 311-214-7 in her 35-year career at Trinity and Connecticut College. She announced her retirement after this season last week. Wesleyan drops to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the NESCAC. The Bantams visit NESCAC rival Connecticut College next on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Wesleyan plays at conference foe Hamilton tomorrow at noon.

Demarest Janis (Cos Cob, Conn.) made it 3-0 with a goal in the third quarter and Annabel Cincotta tallied the Cardinal goal in the final period. McMichael finished with four saves and Pace had 14, as the Bantams totaled 32 shots to 13 for the Cardinals.
