Trinity Women's Ice Hockey Blanked At Colby

WATERVILLE, Maine - The visiting Trinity College Bantams fell victim to solid defensive play by the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Colby College Mules, managing just 12 shots in a 2-0 setback this evening.  Trinity sees its four-game winning streak come to an end, falling to 8-8 overall and 2-7 in the NESCAC.  No. 11-ranked Colby improves to 10-5 overall and 4-5 in the league.  The team will complete the two-game series in Maine tomorrow at 3 p.m.

Junior goaltender Hannah Leclair (Kensington, Prince Edward Island) allowed one goal and made 23 saves before the Mules added a late empty-netter.  Audrey Shirer scored the game-winner, while Tate Sendon assisted on the game's first goal and scored the second.  Junior forward Jenny Guider (Ridgefield, Conn.) and sophomore defender Jelani Adorno (Tariffville, Conn.) each took two shots for Trinity. Mandy Busky had 12 saves in the Mule net.
