MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Trinity College Women's Volleyball team fell to host Middlebury College, 3-0 (20-25, 17-25, 17-25) in their New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) finale Saturday afternoon. The Bantams close the regular season with a 15-7 mark with a 6-4 record in the conference, while the Panthers posted a 15-7 record on the season with a 7-3 NESCAC record.
Junior
Eva Lekovic (San Marino, Calif.) tallied a team-high 10 kills with three digs and three blocks. Sophomore
Ellie Gordon (Los Angeles, Calif.) added nine kills and two blocks, while senior
Lola Craig (Los Angeles, Calif.) had six kills and 11 digs. Sophomore
Caroline Howell (Houston, Texas) doled out 18 assists, junior
Grace Sullivan (Fort Worth, Texas) recorded 10 assists, and first-year
Scarlett Jago (Allentown, Pa.) grabbed a team-high 18 digs.
The Bantams wrapped the regular season with their first 15-win season since 2013. Due to tiebreakers, Trinity will enter the NESCAC Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament as the fifth-seed, and will travel to four-seed Tufts University for a Quarterfinal match Saturday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m.
