WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Trinity College Bantams suffered their first conference loss of the season and second loss overall on the road Friday evening versus the New England Small College Athletic Conference foe Williams College Ephs. The setback snaps Trinity longest-ever winning streak at 16 games, as the No. 9/11-ranked Bantams move to 19-2 overall and 6-1 in league play. The Bantams look to quickly bounce back as they tip off at conference foe Middlebury tomorrow at 3 p.m. Williams improves to 15-7 overall and 6-2 in the NESCAC.
Trinity dominated early and led, 16-4, after the first quarter. Bantam senior guard
Bria Fuller (Springdale, Md.) ignited a 10-0 start for the Bantams who led, 10-0, with under five minutes left in the first quarter. The Ephs ended their lengthy scoring drought with just over three minutes left in the first quarter, but the Bantams continued to dominate on both ends of the court. The first frame ended with a long offensive possession by the Bantams that included two offensive rebounds and finished with a layup by junior center
Reilly Campbell (Wallingford, Conn.) with just eight seconds on the clock. The Ephs responded and outscored Trinity in every other quarter. The Bantams led, 21-14, at the half.

Madison Stevens (Burlington, Conn.) completed a traditional three-point play to up the Bantam lead to 32-27 at the 7:51 mark, but Arianna Gerig caught fire for Williams and recorded 12 of her 17 points over the next seven-plus minutes . Grieg's layup at the 6:02 mark put the home team ahead for the first time, 36-34, and the Ephs led by five at 49-43 with 16 seconds left. Trinity junior
Emma Wax (Pine Brook, N.J.) drilled a three-pointer and Grieg missed two free throws, but the Bantams misfired on a game-tying trey and settled for a two-point jumper by Cambell that beat the buzzer but left her team one point short. Campbell was extraordinary, notching 19 points and 13 rebounds and 19 points and Wax added 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Grieg finished with 19 points and Devin Biesbrock had 14 points while both grabbed eight rebounds for Williams.
