Harrison Ike (Allentown, Pa.) and
Ryan Werner (Weston, Conn.) combined four nine goals and four assists to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 19-12 victory over the visiting Bates College Bobcats in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's lacrosse action this afternoon on Jessee/Miller Field at Tunsill Muldoon Stadium. Trinity improves to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the NESCAC with the win in its home opener. Bates drops to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the league.
Trinity led wire-to-wire, beginning with an un assisted tally by junior midfielder
Andrew Bailey (Madison, N.J.) 2:39 into the first quarter. Werner had two goals and two assists in the first quarter to help the Bantams lead, 7-2, at the first break. Bailey scored two of Trinity's five goals in the second quarter and the home squad led, 11-6, at halftime. Bantam senior captain
