HARTFORD, Conn. - Calvin Caputo had three goals and three assists to lead the Williams College Ephs to a 16-6 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's lacrosse season opener for both teams this afternoon on Farley-Lamb Field. Jon Krikorian (Windham, N.H.) notched two goals and two assists for the Bantams who will visit Babson next on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Caputo scored the first goal of the game man-up less than a minute after the opening faceoff but Krikorian fed junior
Andrew Bailey (Madison, N.J.) to it just over two minutes later. Williams rattled off 13 goals in a row, however, including three by Cade Schuckman. Krikorian ended Trinity's 34:14 scoring drought with a goal from senior tri-captain

Connor Sullivan (Hopkinton, Mass.) scored late in the third frame, while Bailey, Krikorian and junior
Matt Pecora (Congers, N.Y.) each had a goal and an assist in the fourth quarter for the Bantams.
Williams outshot Trinity, 49-34, and was 4-for-8 on extra-man chances, while the Bantams did not score in four extra-man opportunities. Trinity junior midfielder
Dane Crowley (Pelham, N.Y.) dominated the faceoff with 16 wins in 24 attempts and scooped 10 ground balls. Sophomore LSM
John Cowdrick (Lexington, Mass.) added four ground balls and a caused turnover, and Sullivan had two ground balls and caused two turnovers. In goal, Trinity junior Cooper Vaccino (Kenilworth, Ill.) made 22 saves and Matt Freitas had 14 of Williams' 18 saves.
