Michael Aceto (Hamden, Conn.) tossed a two-hit shutout in the nightcap, as the Trinity College Bantams swept the visiting Colby College Mules, 7/6-4/0, in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East Division baseball doubleheader this afternoon on Murren Family Field at DiBenedetto Stadium. Trinity improves to 11-5 overall and 2-1 in the NESCAC East and the Mules, who took game one, 8-2, yesterday, falls to 11-5 overall and 1-2 in the division. Trinity will visit No. 4-ranked Eastern Connecticut next on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

Brandon Chow (Greenwich, Conn.) led off with a single, stole second and scored on a wild pitch in the fourth stanza, while Meth and Dillon added RBIs on a single and a double, respectively, later in the inning.
Trinity first-year RHP
Kody Perry (Greenbrae, Calif.) started and allowed five hits and two runs with three strikeouts and three walks over six innings to improve to 3-0. The Mules got two runs in top of the seventh inning but Trinity sophomore southpaw
Jonathan Link (Holmes, N.Y.) came in with two runners one base and got the final out on a strikeout for his first career save. Thomas Rioux took the loss on the hill and Derek Woods pitched two scoreless innings in relief for Colby. Dillon was 3-for-4 with a run and two RBIs, while Bernstein, Meth, Schnitzer and Chow each had two hits. Marcus Forrester and Drew Miller had two hits for the Mules in game one.
Aceto dominated the second game, facing just one batter over the minimum, walking none and striking out one to improve to 3-1. Julian Erro allowed four runs and dropped to 2-2 for Colby. Trinity broke a scoreless tie in the third inning on consecutive singles by Chow and Bernstein and RBI singles by Meth and junior C
Jack Ryan (Bethesda, Md.). Chow added an RBI single in the fourth inning, while Meth doubled and scored on a single by Ryan in the fifth. The Bantams added a run in the sixth inning when junior James Stafanowicz (Norwalk, Conn.) walked and eventually scored on an infield hit. In the seventh, the Bantams scored their final run on a Meth single, two wild pitched and a groundout by Ryan. Chow and Meth were 3-for-4 and both Bernstein and Ryan had two hits.
