HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Men's Soccer team suffered a 4-1 setback to visiting Bowdoin College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) tilt at Trinity Soccer Field Saturday afternoon. The Bantams move to 2-9 on the season, and 0-7 in conference, while the Polar Bears rise to 5-3-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the NESCAC.

In the 11
th minute of play, Polar Bears senior Ronaldo Cabral delivered a cross from the goal line, finding junior Tyler Huck for the finish past Trinity junior goalkeeper
Felix Schmidt, giving Bowdoin an early 1-0 advantage. Just over two minutes later, Huck struck again, knocking home a cross from graduate Carlton Steinberg to make it a 2-0 game.

The Bantams cut into the deficit on a free kick opportunity with 24:11 remaining in the first half. Sophomore
Ian Spiro curled a shot from nearly 35 yards out that ricocheted off a Polar Bear defender and past junior keeper Alex Ainsworth to close the gap to 2-1.

Huck picked up his third goal of the day with a volley off a cross from first-year Adam Prince with 17:50 on the clock to rebuild a two-goal lead. Less than three minutes later, the Polar Bears notched their final goal of the day as junior Mateo Pacelli finished in front of the net off a feed from first-year Arthur Dos Santos to make the 4-1 scoreboard.

Bowdoin outshot Trinity, 11-8, during the contest. Schmidt made a match-high four saves for the Bantams, while first-year Jon Perez and senior Quinn Battagliese each made one save in relief of Ainsworth.

The Bantams will be back in action when they travel to Colby College for a NESCAC clash Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Bowdoin travels to St. Joseph's (ME) for a non-conference match Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
