DERBY, Conn. – The Head of the Housatonic, held in Derby, Connecticut, showcased an impressive display of talent and determination from the participating teams. Trinity's Women's Rowing program made a strong statement, with multiple crews competing across various events. The Bantams demonstrated their skill and teamwork, achieving notable finishes that highlighted their commitment to excellence on the water.
In the Women's Open 8+, Trinity fielded three boats in the Directors Cup, securing first, third, and fifth places. The Bantams took first with a time of 15:14.8, finishing twenty-two seconds ahead of Coast Guard, who claimed second. Trinity's second crew finished in 15:46.8, followed closely by the Bantams' third boat at 17:04.1.
In the Women's Collegiate Novice 8+, Trinity's crew placed second out of three boats, clocking in at 16:24.3.
The Bantams also competed in the Women's Open 4+. Trinity's crew, led by Allie Newman, finished fourth with a time of 17:03.5. Erin Barbakoff's crew followed closely, finishing within the top ten at 18:04.9. Trinity's final shell, led by Tessa Griffin, crossed the finish line at 21:16.2.
