Women's Volleyball Sinks Continentals in Three Sets

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Volleyball squad dispatched visiting Hamilton College, 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-14), in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) tilt at Oosting Gymnasium Friday night. The Bantams improve to 16-3 overall and 4-3 in conference play, while the Continentals slide to 1-6 in the NESCAC and 4-10 on the season. The Bantams hit the 16-win plateau for the first time since the 2011 season.
 
The Bantams registered seven-plus kills, led by a match-high 11 kills from senior Eva Lekovic. Senior Ava Boloyan tallied a season-high nine kills with six digs and two blocks, while first-year Annette Schlunk posted nine kills and 10 digs. Junior Ellie Gordon knocked seven kills with three digs, and senior Bella Caffuzzi recorded five kills and five solo blocks. Senior Grace Sullivan and junior Caroline Howell each dished out 18 assists, while sophomore Scarlett Jago grabbed a match-high 19 digs.
 
Elodie McGeiver paced Hamilton with a team-high nine kills and eight digs. Claire Cooper had a team-high 10 assists, while Mia Jessen snared a team-high 13 digs.
 
The Bantams will return to the court Saturday afternoon for a clash with Amherst College (10-6, 1-5) at Oosting Gymnasium at 2:00 p.m.
