Trinity Falls Short Against Wesleyan in Conference Meeting

HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity College Field Hockey faced a tough matchup against Wesleyan University in their NESCAC clash on Wednesday, falling 4-1. This loss leaves the Bantams at 0-5 in the conference and 4-5 overall, while Wesleyan improves to 3-3 in the NESCAC and 8-3 overall.

The Cardinals capitalized in every quarter, tallying a goal in each. Georgia Adams opened the scoring in the 5th minute and a second in the 47th (4th quarter) minutes. Ava Galdenzi contributed with a goal in the 25th minute (2nd quarter) and the 32nd minute (3rd quarter).

Trinity's sole goal came in the final minutes, when Izzy Deveney's drive found Tatum Stickney, who redirected the shot into the net for her third career goal.

Wesleyan outshot Trinity 21-9, with a 12-to-7 advantage in shots on goal. The Bantams split goalkeeper duties; Korkosz made 5 saves in 42:03 minutes, while Hayley Gable recorded 3 saves in 17:57.

Trinity will look to bounce back on Saturday, October 12th, when they host Bowdoin College at 11 AM on the Robin L. Sheppard field.
