Football Lands 12 All-Conference Selections

HADLEY, Mass. – The Trinity College Football Team earned 12 All-Conference selections in the 2024 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Football All-Conference team, announced by the league office Tuesday.
 
The Bantams claimed nine First Team selections and three Second Team selections. The First Team Offense included junior Tyler DiNapoli, graduate Max Roche, senior Sean Clapp, junior Nolan O'Brien, and graduates Anthony Casillo and Jaheim Scott. Senior Ma-Lyke Davis was voted to the First Team Defense, while senior Matthew Jumes and O'Brien received First Team Special Teams recognition. Graduate Zander Zebrowski was a Second Team Offense selection, while junior Charlie Cooper and sophomore Jordan Atkinson earned Second Team Defense honors.
 
DiNapoli claims back-to-back First Team honors after being selected as the 2022 NESCAC Rookie of the Year. In his junior campaign, DiNapoli registered 599 yards on 122 carries with a career-high seven touchdowns, while adding a career-high 32 receptions for a career-high 272 yards. DiNapoli ranked third in the NESCAC in rushing touchdowns and fourth in rushing yards. Roche earned his first All-Conference selection after logging career-highs in receptions (16), yards (203) and touchdowns (5). Roche ranked sixth in the conference in receiving touchdowns.
 
Clapp picked up his third All-Conference selection and second straight First Team selection after posting 646 yards on 45 receptions with seven touchdowns. In conference, Clapp ranked fifth in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Clapp finishes his career tied with as the program leader in all-time receptions (167), and is tied with Jonathan Girard for all-time receiving touchdowns leader (25), and sits second all-time in receiving yards (2,525).
 
O'Brien takes home his first All-Conference selections, and becomes the first player since Darrien Myers in 2016 to receive First Team status at two positions. O'Brien led the NESCAC in receptions (63), receiving yards (857), receiving touchdowns (9), and receiving yards per game (95.2). O'Brien generated 1,259 all-purpose yards, averaging 139.89 yards per game, ranking 23rd in the nation. As a returner, O'Brien paced the conference in returns (16), return yards (206) and yards per return (13.1), and ranked 13th in the country in punt return average and 14th in punt return yards.
 
On the Bantams offensive line, Casillo receives his second consecutive First Team selection, while Scott garners his first All-Conference honor. Offensively, the Bantams led the NESCAC in scoring (31.1), total touchdowns (37), points (280), total yards (3,551), passing yards (2,448), yards per game (394.6), completion percentage (72.1), completions (196), and offensive efficiency (175.3). Nationally, Trinity ranks second in red zone offense (30-32, .938), sixth in completion percentage, 17th in passing efficiency and 38th in passing offense.
 
Davis was the stalwart of the Bantams secondary, racking up a career-high 41 tackles, including a career-high 24 solo tackles, with eight pass breakups (PBU), a sack and an interception. Davis logged 17 career pass breakups, ranking 11th all-time in program history.
 
Jumes becomes the second kicker in program history to receive three straight First Team All-Conference selections, joining Eric Sachse (2016-18). Jumes was perfect on the season, connecting on 7-of-7 field goal attempts and 37-of-37 PATs. Jumes finishes his career as the program leader in field goals made (32), field goals attempted (37), field goal percentage (.865), PATs made (157), and PATs attempted, and ranks third all-time in PAT percentage (.963).
 
Zebrowski led the NESCAC in every passing category including completions (193), completion percentage (.726), passing yards (2,441), passing touchdowns (25), passing yards per game (271.2) and passing efficiency (177.91). Zebrowski set the single season record for completion percentage with the second-most completions in a season in program history. Zebrowski ranks third in program history for single-season passing yards and single-season passing touchdowns. Zebrowski sat fifth in the nation in completion percentage, 17th in passing yards per game, and 20th in passing efficiency. Zebrowski wraps his career as the program's all-time leader in career completion percentage (219-306, .716)
 
Atkinson earned his first All-Conference selection after registering career-highs in tackles (33), solo tackles (15), tackles for loss (10.5) and sacks (7), with a pass breakup, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Atkinson led the Bantams in tackles for loss, sacks and QB hurries (7), while ranking fifth in total tackles. Atkinson ranked fourth in the NESCAC and 28th in the country in sacks in his sophomore campaign.
 
Cooper had a breakout season in the Bantams secondary, leading the team in pass breakups (13) and interceptions (4). Cooper delivered an interception return touchdown in Trinity's victory over Williams, becoming the first player to register a defensive touchdown since Hunter Tully in the 2021 season. Cooper ranked fourth in the country in pass breakups, and tied Eric Grant (1987) as the single-season leader in PBUs in program history.
