MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The fifth-seeded Trinity College Volleyball team battled fourth-seeded Wesleyan University across a five-set defeat, 3-2 (27-25, 14-25, 22-25, 25-22, 11-15), in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Volleyball Championship Quarterfinals at Silloway Gymnasium Saturday afternoon. The Bantams finish with a 19-5 record, while the Cardinals move to 13-10 on the season.

Ellie Gordon racked up a season-high 20 kills on a.436 hitting percentage with three digs and a block. Senior
Eva Lekovic tallied 16 kills, four digs and a block, while classmate

The Cardinals had three players with double figures in kills, led by Michelle Jorba with a team-high 16 kills and three blocks. First-year Siena Steines added 14 kills and 11 digs, while classmate India Clark had 10 kills. Junior Ali Landa doled out a match-high 30 assists with nine digs, and Adrienne Nguyen snared a match-high 16 digs in the win.

With a 19-5 record, the Bantams match the 2011 team for the second-most wins in a season in program history.
