With 10:32 remaining in the first period, Bantams broke a scoreless tie as first year James Barbour put back the rebound off of a saved shot by Case Rhodes to give Trinity a 1-0 lead over Colby.
At the 10:59 mark of the second period, Mules knotted up the score, 1-1 Dhillon Wilde raced out of the neutral zone towards the Bantams net, and then played a pass to the left side of the net, where classmate Jayden Grier was there to redirect it past Trinity's sophomore Devon Bobak.
Late in the third period, the Bantams found the would-be game-winning goal as Connor Sedlak made a perfectly weighted centering pass to Theodore Griffin who fired one just above Andy Beran's right pad to regain a 2-1 lead.
The Bantams edged the Panthers in the shot column, 29-27, and the face off battle, 25-20, during the game. Bobak recorded 26 saves in the win, while Beran notched 27 saves for Colby.
The Bantams advance to the semifinals where they will compete against #7 Middlebury College at 1PM in Koeppel Center.
