HARTFORD, CONN. - Trinity College Softball collected back-to-back wins after five innings in the NESCAC double header, downing the Bowdoin Polar Bears 12-3 in both games. Bantams are lifted 11-6 overall and 3-1 in conference, while Bowdoin falls 11-5, and are 0-2 in conference. Trinity will compete next Saturday in a NESCAC double header against Wesleyan University at 12PM and 2PM.
GAME 1: Bowdoin 3, Trinity 12
Sophomore Abigail Alper racked up four RBIs, the center fielder went 3-for-3 in the batter's box with a double and a triple logged for the day. Isabella Calagna went 1-for-3 recording 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored, while junior Hannah Mulaney turned in a 2-for-3 day at the dish, with her seventh career double.
The Bantams found the start they needed after a five run inning in the second and third inning to power them to a 11-3 lead over the Polar Bears. With an addition of one more run in the bottom of the fourth the Bantams locked down a 12-3 victory after holding Bowdoin to only one hit, and four batters in the fifth to close out game one.

GAME 2: Trinity 12, Bowdoin 3Â
At the plate, the Bantams were led by junior Taylor Mikolajczak, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a walk-off three run homer to seal the 12-3 victory against the Polar Bears for a 2-0 decision on the NESCAC double header. Â
Bowdoin's three runs came in the first inning and the fifth. Kaysen Shikar tossed for the Bantams holding the Polar Bears to only seven hits and three runs with 7 fly-outs and 5 ground-outs over the course of five innings.
