BOSTON, Mass. – The Trinity College Women's Volleyball swept a trio of matches at the UMass-Boston Tournament, defeating Bridgewater State (3-2), Roger Williams (3-1) and the host Beacons (3-2), in non-conference action at the Clark Athletic Center Friday and Saturday. For the first time since 2012, the Bantams open the season with a 4-0 record.

Game 1: Trinity 3, Bridgewater State 2 (26-28, 25-21, 24-26, 25-18, 15-11)
The Bantams overcame a 2-1 deficit to capture the final two sets and defeat Bridgewater State, 3-2, in their opening match of the UMass-Boston Tournament Friday night.

Bella Caffuzzi knocked a match-high 12 kills with four blocks, while junior
Ellie Gordon tallied 11 kills, four digs and two blocks to pace the Bantams offensive attack. First-year
Annette Schlunk set a new career-high with eight kills and seven digs, while
Eva Lekovic added eight kills, four blocks and three digs. Junor
Caroline Howell notched her first double-double of the season with a match-high 21 assists and 11 digs, while senior
Grace Sullivan registered 20 assists with a team-high four service aces.

Game 2: Trinity 3, Roger Williams 1 (15-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-18)
After dropping the opening set to the Hawks, 15-25, the Bantams rolled to three straight set wins to defeat Roger Williams (4-1) in four sets during day two of the UMass-Boston Tournament Saturday afternoon.

Lekovic powered the Bantams attack with a season-high 16 kills, three blocks and two digs. Gordon chipped in 10 kills, three digs and two digs, while Caffuzzi added seven kills, six blocks, four digs and two assists. Schlunk snared 10 digs with seven kills and a career-high three service aces. Howell logged another double-double with a match-high 20 assists and 10 digs. Jago totaled a team-high 14 digs with six assists and three service aces.

Game 3: Trinity 3, UMass-Boston 2 (25-19, 22-25, 25-27, 25-21, 15-11)
For the second game in a row, the Bantams overcame a 2-1 deficit to capture a five-set victory over UMass-Boston (4-3) in the final match of the Beacons Tournament Saturday evening.

Lekovic racked up a career-high 24 kills on a tied career-high 50 attempts with three blocks. Gordon matched a career-high with 15 kills with four digs, while Caffuzzi added nine kills. Schlunk and junior
Maggie Barnes matched career-highs with eight kills each, while Schlunk snagged a career-high 12 digs. Howell dished out a season-high 36 assists with nine digs, and Jago grabbed a season-high 38 digs. Senior
Julia Torre matched a career-high with 19 digs, while sophomore
Bella Nash set a new career-high with 16 digs in the win.
