Four Bantams Earn Football CSC Academic All-District Honors

HARTFORD, Conn. – Four members of the Trinity College Football team were recognized for their efforts in the classroom, being named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Football Team, announced by the CSC office Monday.
 
Junior Jack Sokol takes home his second CSC Academic All-District honor, while graduate Zander Zebrowski (Verona, N.J.), and juniors Christopher DeLeon-Kollmer (Queens, N.Y.) and John Fiore III (West Caldwell, N.J.) claim the All-District status for the first time.
 
Zebrowski, who's pursuing a graduate degree in Political Science, led the NESCAC in every passing category including completions (193), completion percentage (.726), passing yards (2,441), passing touchdowns (25), passing yards per game (271.2) and passing efficiency (177.91). Zebrowski set the single season record for completion percentage with the second-most completions in a season in program history. Zebrowski ranks third in program history for single-season passing yards and single-season passing touchdowns. Zebrowski sat fifth in the nation in completion percentage, 17th in passing yards per game, and 20th in passing efficiency. Zebrowski wraps his career as the program's all-time leader in career completion percentage (219-306, .716).
 
DeLeon-Kollmer, a Neuroscience major, helped anchor the trenches for a Bantams offense that led the NESCAC in scoring (31.1), total touchdowns (37), points (280), total yards (3,551), passing yards (2,448), yards per game (394.6), completion percentage (72.1), completions (196), and offensive efficiency (175.3). Nationally, Trinity ranked second in red zone offense (30-32, .938), sixth in completion percentage, 17th in passing efficiency and 38th in passing offense.
 
Fiore III had a breakout junior campaign, making nine starts at outside linebacker and recording career-highs in total tackles (30), solo tackles (17), assisted tackles (13), and tackles for loss (5.0). Fiore III added two quarterback hurries, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup on the season. The junior ranked second on the team in tackles for loss, fifth in solo tackles, and eighth in total tackles.
 
Sokol, a Political Science major, logged a career-high 36 punts on the season for a career-high 1,374 yards with an average distance of 38.17 yards, another career-high. Sokol dropped a career-high ten punts inside the 20-yard line and bombed a career-long 52-yard punt against Wesleyan.
