Dear Trinity Field Hockey Community,
Reflecting on the past two seasons as a part of Trinity Field Hockey, it is difficult to express in words just how much this team has given me and means to me. I have been so lucky to learn and grow with this group of people, and the support I have received in this process has been like no other. Trinity has allowed me to become the best version of myself every day, on the field and in the classroom, and I am so grateful for this opportunity.
Stepping onto Robin L. Sheppard Field the first day of preseason my freshman year was terrifying, but as soon as we began our warm up lap, it was clear that my class was already a part of the team. We were immediately welcomed into the team, and within hours it felt like I belonged on that field more than anywhere else before. Since that moment we have had our successes and our challenges, but through it all we have stuck together.
TCFH is so much more than a field hockey program, it is a family and has given me my best friends and the most amazing support system I could ask for. We strive to be better on and off the field, and push each other to be our best. This culture separates TCFH from everyone else, we all love the game as much as we do each other, which helps us grow as players and people.
I am also extremely thankful for the support that Trinity Athletics gives us academically, and always encourages us to be a student as well as being an athlete. I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology and without this support, would not be doing as well as I am in the classroom. My coaches, teammates and everyone in the Athletics department prioritize our academics, and provide us with tools so that everyone can succeed.
To the alumni, family, friends, and other supporters, your support and generosity are the reasons we are given the opportunities we have. We cannot express enough gratuity for everything you have given and continue to give. The traditions started years ago live on, and this family will be forever interconnected. A college athletics career is so special, and it is because of you that we can pursue the dreams we have.
I am so excited to see what the future of Trinity Field Hockey looks like, in my last two seasons and in the many years to come. It is a privilege to be a part of this team and family, and we cannot thank you enough. I hope to see you on Robin L. next fall, the 2025 season will be our best yet!
