HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Basketball team used a fourth-quarter rally to capture a non-conference victory over Ithaca College, 69-64, at Oosting Gymnasium Friday afternoon. The Bantams elevate to 10-2 on the season, while the Bombers slide to 3-6 overall.

Olivia Vick paced the Bantams offense with a game-high 23 points, shooing 8-of-13 from the floor and 5-of-5 from three-point range, with four rebounds. Junior
Lucy Dorion netted a career-high 11 points, connecting on 6-of-6 free throw attempts, with three rebounds and two assists. Sophomore
Avery Marzo added 10 points, while junior
Samantha Slofkiss tallied eight points with five rebounds. Sophomore
Madi Forman grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds with eight points and three steals, and junior
Theresa Twardosky dished out a game-high six assists in the win.

The Bombers had three scorers in double figures, led by a team-high 18 points, five assists and three rebounds from graduate Emma Waite. Senior Annabella Yorio logged a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore Elizabeth Majka chipped in 11 points and four rebounds. Junior Zoraida Icabalceta tallied eight points, five rebounds and five assists.

The Bombers came out of the gates hot, racing to a 9-0 lead in the opening four minutes, powered by seven points from Waite. A three-pointer from Yorio extended the Ithaca advantage to 18-5 at the 4:24 mark, but the Trinity bench sparked a comeback with a 15-2 run to even the score at 20-20 heading into the second quarter.

The Bantams took their first lead of the contest as Vick buried three straight three pointers to push Trinity to a 29-25 lead. The sides exchanged the lead four times over the next three minutes en route to a 35-35 score with 3:00 on the clock. Ithaca closed the period on a 5-1 run to harness a 40-36 lead at the half.

Ithaca controlled play to begin the third quarter, executing a 12-5 run to extend their advantage to 52-41. Trailing 54-46 with 3:37 remaining in the third, the Bantams utilized a 5-1 run to trim the gap to 55-51 entering the final quarter.

Vick jarred a pair of three-pointers to kick off the fourth quarter, igniting a 14-2 run from Trinity to regain a 65-57 lead with 3:28 to play. Â The Bombers used triples from sophomore Tori Drevna and Icabalceta to trim the deficit to 67-64, but Vick and Forman delivered late free throws to seal the 69-64 win.

The Bombers edged the Bantams in the rebounding column, 40-35, while Trinity held the advantage in the paint, 26-24, and off the bench, 25-19. The Bantams connected on 23-of-59 (39%) from the floor, including 9-of-17 (52.9%) from three-point range, and 14-of-19 (73.7%) from the foul line. Ithaca shot 24-of-61 (39.3%) from the field, 9-of-24 (37.5%) from beyond the arc, and 7-of-10 (70%) from the free throw stripe.

The Bantams will look to push their win streak to six games when they make a non-conference road trip to Rhode Island College (7-4) on Sunday, January 5 for a 1:00 p.m. tip.
