Volleyball Falls in Three Sets at Hamilton

CLINTON, N.Y. – The Trinity College Volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback at Hamilton College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) clash at the Margaret Bundy Field House Friday night. The Bantams move to 10-8 on the season and 1-6 in conference play, while the Continentals rise to 5-9 overall and 1-6 in the NESCAC.
 
What Happened:
  • The Bantams dropped the first set, 25-16, but battled over the final two frames, losing by a combined six points, 25-23 and 25-21.
  • The Bantams generated 33 kills on a .113 hitting percentage with 52 digs, 32 assists, four service aces and four blocks.
  • Hamilton tallied 39 kills on a .216 attack percentage with 52 digs, 32 assists, seven blocks and six aces.
  • Ellie Gordon logged a match-high 13 kills with three digs, a block and an assist.
  • Maggie Barnes chipped in six kills and a block, while Maya Hall added four kills, a team-high three blocks and two digs.
  • Catalina Hendricks dished out a team-high 12 assists with nine digs, Caroline Howell notched 10 assists, and Scarlett Jago grabbed a match-high 15 digs.
  • Hamilton was paced by Grace Seaman with a match-high 13 kills.
  • Grace Jansen recorded a match-high 14 assists, while Ayzlinn Trefen snared a team-high 11 digs.
