Women's Ice Hockey Drops 4-1 Tilt at #15 Hamilton

CLINTON, N.Y. – The Trinity College Women's Ice Hockey team fell to host Hamilton College, 4-1, in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) action at Russell Sage Arena Saturday afternoon. The Bantams sit at 0-4 (0-4 NESCAC) overall, while the Continentals rise to 2-1-1 (2-1-1 NESCAC) on the season.
 
What Happened:
  • Following a scoreless first period, the Bantams took a 1-0 lead less than three minutes into the second period as Gabriela Gross fired a shot wide, but Lillian Cassidy grabbed the loose puck and found Kate French for the finish.
  • With 11:56 left in the second, Hamilton evened the score on a tally from Grace Puskar, followed by goal from Sarah Myziuk less than four minutes later to put the Continentals ahead 2-1.
  • Hamilton goaltender Teagan Brown logged eight saves in the third period to keep Trinity off the board as Puskar struck again to make it 3-1, followed by an empty net goal from Lilly Truchon to hand the Continentals the 4-1 win.

  • The Continentals controlled the shot column, 40-21.
