Carter’s Clean Sheet Leads Trinity Past Cardinals, 4–0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Trinity College Women's Ice Hockey team shut out host St. John Fisher, 4–0, in a non-conference matchup at Rochester Ice Center on Saturday afternoon. The Bantams improve to 2–5 on the year, while the Cardinals drop to 3–6–1 overall.

What Happened:

  • Trinity struck quickly, breaking through less than six minutes into the contest when Sophie Rousell buried the opening goal off a setup from Livia Angioletti. Just ten seconds later, Gabriella Gross doubled the lead to 2–0, capitalizing off a faceoff win by Kate French.
  • In the second period, Madeline Carter turned away all six shots she faced to preserve the shutout. The Bantams fired 10 shots in the frame, but St. John Fisher goaltender Brynn Bacak held firm to keep the deficit at two entering the third.
  • Trinity extended its lead midway through the final period when Nina McKenna finished a feed from Nani Keyes at 11:41 to make it 3–0.
  • With under three minutes remaining, Meena Al-Kadiri added an insurance marker to cap the Bantams' 4–0 victory, assisted by Rousell and Ellie Calo.
