Women's Squash Claims 18th Consecutive NESCAC Crown

HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity College Women's Squash captured their 18th consecutive New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) title with a dominant 9-0 victory over Tufts University in the finals Sunday afternoon at the George A. Kellner Squash Courts.

Earlier in the day, the Bantams breezed past Williams University, winning 9-0 in the semifinals to secure their place in the championship match. Trinity delivered a commanding performance, sweeping all their matches in the semifinal and final rounds.

NESCAC Championship: Trinity 9, Tufts 0

In the championship match, Trinity once again showed their dominance, recording six 3-0 victories across the ladder. Jana Safy, in the #1 spot, and Kara Lincou (#3), Lulu Palacios (#4), Janna El Ashmawy (#5), Elisenda Ruiz-Kaiser (#8), and Kitsy Fox (#9) all secured commanding wins.

Varvara Kliueva earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Tufts' Nieve Monderer in the #6 spot, clinching the 9-0 victory for the Bantams with a final-game score of 11-8.
