Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Trinity College Men's Lacrosse team potted a goal in the final two minutes of play to defeat host Skidmore College, 8-7, in a non-conference clash at Wachenheim Field Tuesday night. The Bantams improved to 1-1 on the season, while the Thoroughbreds dip to 2-1 overall.

Jay Ottomanelli to trim the deficit to 3-1 entering the second quarter.

Jake Connors connected with Krikorian at the 8:41 mark, followed by an unassisted strike from Ottomanelli with 5:00 remaining in the half to knot the game at 3-3. Skidmore added a late tally from senior Brain Gonsalves to hand Skidmore the 4-3 edge heading into the break.

Just over two minutes into the third quarter, Elenteny found the back of the net to even things at 4-4. The Bantams seized a 6-5 lead in the final five minutes of the frame as sophomore
Bo Page and Ottomanelli sandwiched goals around a tally from Gonsalves.

At the 12:21 mark of the fourth, Gonsalves connected with first-year Michael Aiello for the equalizer, and then found junior David Koffler with 5:38 to play to put Skidmore ahead 7-6. With 5:13 remaining, Elenteny netted the game-tying goal before delivering the assist on the game-winner three minutes later.

The Thoroughbreds outshot the Bantams, 40-27, and held the edge in the face-off, 10-8, and groundballs, 34-32. Trinity senior goalkeeper
Jordan Opdahl recorded 18 saves, including a massive stop in the final 30 seconds of action to preserve the win. Kuester made nine saves for the Thoroughbreds.

The Bantams will be back in action when they travel to Tufts University for a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) tilt Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
