HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Basketball team will hit the road for the opening rounds of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship Tournament Friday & Saturday at New York University. The Bantams will take on UMass-Dartmouth in the opening game at 5:00 p.m., followed by a tilt between host New York University and Gallaudet at 7:30 p.m.

- The Bantams enter the Tournament with an 18-8 record, including a 6-4 mark in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).
- Trinity is coming off a 90-69 loss to Colby College in the NESCAC Women's Basketball Championship Tournament.
- Offensively, the Bantams are producing 70.5 points per game while shooting 40.1% from the field, 33.5% from three-point range and 74.2% from the foul line.
- On the defensive end, Trinity is holding opponents to 63.5 points per game and a 37.7 field goal percentage, including a 28.6% mark from long range.
- Sophomore Olivia Vick earned First Team All-NESCAC honors after leading the Bantams in scoring, averaging a career-high 16.3 points per game, fifth-most in the conference, and establishing career-highs in points (423), field goals made (143), three-point field goals made (56), rebounds (44), assists (32), steals (19) and blocks (4).Â
- Sophomore Avery Marzo is netting 8.6 points per game, shooting 43.1% from the field and 33.8% from long range, with 3.2 rebounds. Marzo added 19 steals and 17 blocks on the season.
- Sophomore Madi Forman pulled down a team-high 8.8 rebounds per game with 7.7 points, while chipping in a team-high 30 blocks, 21 steals and 18 assists.
- Junior Melissa Whitmore dished out a team-high 63 assists while adding 8.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
Scouting UMass-Dartmouth
- The Corsairs enter the Tournament with a 23-4 mark, including a 14-2 record in the Little East Conference (LEC).
- UMass-Dartmouth (UMD) won the Little East Conference Tournament with a 94-50 victory over Southern Maine in the Championship Game.
- The Corsairs received votes in the latest D3hoops.com Women's Basketball Poll.
- UMD is generating 79.3 points on offense while connecting on 43.1% from the field, 34.3% from three-point range, and 69.7% from the foul line.
- Defensively, the Corsairs are holding opponents to 60.4 points per game and 35.2% clip from the field with a 29.1% mark from three-point range.
- Graduate Carly Whiteside was the LEC Tournament Most Outstanding Player and a First Team All-LEC selection after leading the Corsairs in 11 statistical categories including points per game (15.4), rebounds per game (8.0) and field goal percentage (54.6).
- Graduate Teja Andrews grabbed All-LEC First Team and All-Defensive Team honors after leading the team with 75 steals while also ranking second overall on the team in total points (335), field goal percentage (50.4), rebounds per game (5.5), and total blocked shots (15).
- Fifth-year Kaylin Zalewski garnered All-LEC Second Team and All-Defensive Team status after averaging 13.5 points per game with eight 20+ point games on the season.

Scouting New York University
- The undefeated Violets enter the Tournament with a 25-0 record, including a 14-0 mark in the University Athletic Association (UAA).
- New York University (NYU) remained at #1 in the latest edition of the D3hoops.com Women's Basketball Poll.
- On the offensive side, the Violets are producing 89.6 points per game, second-most in the Nation, while shooting 51.1% from the field, the highest mark in the Country.
- Defensively, NYU is limiting opponents to 50.2 points per game with a 33.1% mark from the field and a 24.6% mark from three-point range.
- Graduate Natalie Bruns was tabbed as the UAA Player of the Year and First Team All-UAA for the second straight season after pouring in 17.0 points with 6.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, along with 71 blocks and 54 steals.
- Senior Belle Pellecchia was selected as the UAA Defensive Player of the Year for the fourth straight season after logging a team-high 88 steals with 11 blocks while averaging 14.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
- Junior Caroline Peper is scoring 11.5 points per game while shooting 41% from three-point range, with 77 assists, 26 steals and 12 blocks.
- Graduate Jamie Behar and sophomore Brooke Batchelor received All-UAA Second Team and Honorable Mention status, respectively.

Scouting Gallaudet
- The Bison delivered an 18-10 record on the season with a 12-4 mark in the United East Conference (UEC).
- Gallaudet defeated St. Mary's (MD) in overtime, 71-70, in the United East Conference Championship Game for their first-ever UEC Championship.
- The Bison are tallying 67.4 points per game, shooting 43.5% from the floor, 26.4% from three-point and 70.4% from the free throw stripe.
- Gallaudet is surrendering 61.5 points per game to opponents with foes connecting from the field at a 35.1% clip, including 28.1% from three-point.
- Sophomore Cam Lexow took home UEC Defensive Player of the Year and First Team honors after averaging a team-high 14.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game with 92 steals and 64 blocks.
- Senior Raj Guettler is contributing 12.1 points and a team-high 9.2 rebounds per game while adding 96 assists and 60 steals.
- Alexis Roberts is adding 10.7 points and 7.9 rebounds and owns a 48.3% field goal percentage.
