LEWISTON, Maine – The Trinity College Baseball team closed their New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) by splitting a pair of games during a doubleheader at Leahey Field Friday afternoon. The Bantams (17-15, 6-6 NESCAC) fell to the Bobcats (12-17, 4-7) on a walk-off error in game one, and then grabbed a 7-3 win in the nightcap.

Game 1: Bates 5, Trinity 4 (7 Innings)
After two scoreless innings, the Bantams scored the first run of the game as
Luis Saldivia raced home on a wild pitch to hand Trinity the 1-0 lead. The Bobcats took the lead in the bottom of the fourth as B. Biggane knocked an RBI double, advanced to third on the throw from the outfield and then scored after a Bantams throwing error to put Bates on top 2-1.

In the top of the fifth,
Adam Niman reached on a bunt single, followed by a double from
Tyler Bernstein to put runners on second and third.
Dylan Schnitzer brought home both runners with an RBI single to right-center, regaining a 3-2 lead for Trinity. The Bantams added to their advantage in the top of the seventh with an RBI single from
Aidan Stevenson to make it a 4-2 game. In the bottom of the frame, Trinity pitchers hit three straight batters, loading the bases for the Bobcats, where Genser delivered an RBI fielder's choice, and then K. Ryan scoring on an error to give Bates the 5-4 win.

Game 2: Trinity 7, Bates 3
The Bantams jumped on the Bobcats early in game two, plating three runs in the first inning behind RBI hits from Park,
Aidan Stern and Stevenson. After four clean innings, Genser knocked an RBI groundout for Bates in the fifth to narrow the gap to 3-1.

Park drove in Bernstein with an RBI single in the seventh, followed by an RBI double from Saldivia in the eighth to extend the advantage to 5-1. Park remained hot at the plate in the ninth, launching a two-run home run over the right field fence, putting Trinity ahead 7-1. The Bobcats looked to rally in the ninth with a pair of runs, but the Bantams bullpen slammed the door to lock up the 7-3 win.

Park went a career-best 5-for-5 at the plate with four RBIs and two runs scored, while Bernstein, Schnitzer and Park each scored twice. Trinity starter
Drew McGowan (3-1) earned the victory, allowing one unearned run on five hits with three strikeouts, while Andrew Perez claimed his first save of the season with three innings of relief work.

The Bantams will close out the 2025 regular season against third-ranked Endicott College at Murren Family Field at DiBenedetto Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
