BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Trinity College Baseball team dropped a make-up game at host Bowdoin College, 10-3, in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) clash at Pickard Field Sunday afternoon. The Bantams dip to 8-13 overall and 2-4 in conference, while the Polar Bears hold an 18-3 record with a 4-1 mark in the NESCAC.

The Polar Bears plated a pair of runs in the first inning on RBIs from Finn Cahill and Conor Moriarty, but Trinity cut the deficit to 2-1 in the second on an RBI sac fly from
Jake Leonard. Murray added an RBI sac fly in the bottom of the frame to regain a two-run advantage, 3-1.

After three scoreless innings, Bowdoin used an RBI sac fly from Reuben Siegel in the sixth, followed by RBI singles from Henry Bibeau and Cal Thompson in the seventh, to expand the advantage to 6-1. The Bantams whittled the deficit to 6-3 in the eight behind a solo home run from
Tyler Bernstein and
Dylan Schnitzer scoring on a passed ball. The Polar Bears brought home four runs in the eighth, paced by a two-run single from Will Cooke, who later scored on a wild pitch to secure the 10-3 win.

Bernstein logged a pair of extra-base hits with a double and a home run, while
Brett Stone went 2-for-4 with a double. Bowdoin starter Luca McKerley Coronado (2-0) earned the win, allowing one run on five hits with six strikeouts.

The Bantams will be back in action with a NESCAC road trip to Bowdoin College for a single make-up game on Sunday. First pitch is slated for 12:00 p.m.
