GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The 18
th-ranked Trinity College Women's Lacrosse team fell to host sixth-ranked Gettysburg College, 13-11, in the Second Round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship at Clark Field Sunday afternoon. The Bantams finish the season with a 9-9 record, while the Bullets improve to 17-3 overall.

Scoring was slow to kick off the contest as Gettysburg potted the opening from Emily Crane in the first minute of play and then went nearly 10 minutes before Maddie Passarello delivered an advantage goal to make it 2-0.

The Bantams responded with strike from
Sarah Marvin in the final minute of the first, followed by a tally from
Kaeley Zito in the opening minute of the second to even the score at 2-2. Trailing 3-2 midway through the second quarter, Trinity rattled off a trio of goals from Zito,
Kelsey Restivo and
Grace Denious to claim a 5-3 lead at the half.

Sophie Smith and Julia Day netted back-to-back goals for Gettysburg to knot the score at 5-5 with 11:31 remaining in the third quarter.
Ivy Armentrout connected with
Alex Lesko to regain a 6-5 advantage but Gettysburg used a goal from Michaela Kelly to hold an 8-7 lead entering the final quarter.

Following a strike from Julia Day to expand the lead to 9-7, Restivo struck again less than a minute later to keep the Bantams within a goal. Consecutive goals from Sarah Scollin and Crane padded the Bullets lead, but Trinity utilized goals from Armentrout and Marvin to remain in striking distance, 12-10. Passarello netted the Bullets final goal with 3:31 to play, and a tally from Zito in the final minutes set the score at 13-11 at the buzzer.

Trinity edged the Bullets in the shot column, 30-29, while Gettysburg held the edge in draw controls, 14-13. Both sides amassed 17 groundballs during the contest. Restivo led the Bantams offense with four points on two goals and two assists, while Zito added three points on a team-high three goals.
