Nolan O'Brien Named NESCAC Special Teams Player of the Week

HADLEY, Mass. – Trinity College Football senior Nolan O'Brien (Sudbury, Mass.) was selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Co-Special Teams Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday.
 
O'Brien collects his second career Player of the Week honors and is the first Bantam to take home Special Teams honors since Matthew Jumes on November 6, 2023. O'Brien averaged 28.7 yards per return, logging 115 yards on four punt returns to help Trinity to a 30-13 victory over Bates. O'Brien became the first Bantam since DeVante Reid in 2019 to register a punt return touchdown, knifing his way through the Bobcats' defense from 79 yards out to push Trinity ahead 14-0. O'Brien added a game-high nine receptions for a game-high 140 yards and two touchdowns to propel the Bantams to victory.
 
O'Brien and the Bantams will return to the gridiron when they travel to Williams College for a NESCAC clash on September 27 at 1:30 p.m.
