WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Volleyball team kicked off the 2025 season with a three-set sweep of host University of Saint Joseph in non-conference action at James A. Calhoun Gymnasium Wednesday night. With the win, the Bantams move to 1-0 on the season, while the Blue Jays drop to 0-1.
 
What Happened:

• The Bantams rolled to a three-set victory, capturing 25-16, 25-3, and 25-22 wins over Saint Joseph.
• Trinity had eight players record at least four kills, led by a team-high five kills from senior Sarai Davis and sophomore Maya Hall.
• Senior Maggie Barnes, junior Chloe Gentile and first-years Waverly Cullison, Sarah Jeremias, Madeleine Aldecoa and Emma Ewart each added four kills apiece.
• Senior Caroline Howell dished out 14 assists, while junior Catalina Hendricks added 10 assists and sophomore Maya Pace had nine assists.
• Davis added a match-high four service aces, while junior Bella Nash nabbed a team-high seven digs in the win.

 
Inside the Numbers:

• The Bantams dominated the attack column, generating 44 kills with a .313 attack percentage, while the Blue Jays managed only 16 kills on a .068 attack percentage.
• Trinity controlled the service line, tallying 12 aces to just two aces for Saint Joseph.
• The Bantams logged 39 digs with 40 assists, while the Blue Jays totaled 16 assists and 29 digs.
