Trinity Earns NESCAC Road Sweep at Bowdoin

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College women's ice hockey team closed the weekend with a sweep of Bowdoin College, earning a 3–1 victory Saturday evening in Brunswick, Maine. The Bantams improve to 6–6–0 overall and 2–4–0 in conference play, while the Polar Bears fall to 9–4–0 and 3–3–0 in the NESCAC.

What Happened:

  • First-year Meena Al-Kadiri opened the scoring three minutes in, netting her second goal of the weekend to spark the early Bantam momentum.
  • After a scoreless second period, Trinity doubled its lead when Gabriela Gross finished off a feed from Caroline Holm at 7:40 of the third. Bowdoin trimmed the deficit to 2–1 at 10:29, as Meghan Britt converted on the power play to make it a one-goal game.
  • With 2:19 left, Bowdoin emptied its net while short-handed to gain an extra skater and push for the equalizer. Trinity's Nani Keyes cashed in on the empty net during the power play off a pass from Livia Angioletti, securing the 3–1 win.
